Have you ever had to go hungry? Think of a time you were struggling to make ends meet. Maybe you were a broke college student, new parents, going through a layoff. There are so many reasons and so many different ways a person may be struggling to put food on the table. Struggling doesn’t have to be apparent, either. It could be your neighbor, deciding between a car payment and groceries, it doesn’t have to be as obvious as the homeless man on the downtown corner. Blue Egg Market knows that there are people in our own community facing challenges in this economy, and we want to make a difference. Minnesota hosts a campaign to help feed the hungry in our own community, it’s called Hunger Free Minnesota. There are many ways to help this cause that can put food on the table of a family who needs it. To start, Blue Egg Market is holding a fund raiser till April 1st. For every new “Like” we receive on our Facebook page, Blue Egg Market will donate $1.00 to Hunger Free.
